He did his MCh in CVT Surgery from G.B Pant Hospital Delhi in the year 2002 During the course of his studies he presented many papers in a number of National & international Conferences & has been awarded for the best paper presentation in ASICON (Association of Surgeons of India) for 2 consecutive years. His expertise are in the fields of Beating Heart bypass surgery, Minimally invasive CABG, Mitral Valve repair and Robotic Cardiac Surgery, Mitral and Aortic valve replacements, ASD closure and vascular procedures. He has a special interest in thoracic surgery especially VATS (Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery)and total Arterial Revascularization, Valve Sparing Surgery in Mitral Stenosis, Cardiac transplantation etc. Today this trust delivers subsidized treatment to the poor by subsidizing the cost of ANGIOGRAPHY , ANGIOPLASTY AND BYPASS SURGERIES This trust now plans to extend its care to deserving patients suffering from cancer and joint diseases also. In the coming financial year the trust plans to collaborate with other trusts notably the Yasoda Charitable trust , Matunga to expand its services so that more patients are benefited in future. A full fledged Medical social welfare department has been set up in the hospital to assist the poor patients who can avail prompt and efficient treatment. At present Dr. Bijoy Kutty is the director of IHI group which was established in June 2009, with its super specialty Heart care center named ‘ICON HEART INSTITUTE’ at dombivli to provide quality heart care to the citizens of Kalyan,dombivli and beyond.
